What would the Jujutsu Kaisen characters do for a living if not magic? The actors reveal some zany back-up careers

What kind of jobs would the Jujutsu Kaisen characters have in the real world? The cast give their thoughts.

Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime full of young sorcerers doing extraordinary things. But what if things weren’t so extraordinary? During a panel at Florida Supercon, the voice actors for Jujutsu Kaisen were asked what kind of jobs their characters would have in the real world. Needless to say, the answers were interesting.

“In a way Yuji is kind of an average dude,” Adam McArthur says. “I think Yuji would be something like a professional baseball player or a professional athlete. Or the guy who sells hot dogs at the baseball game. There is no in between.”

“He would be fired because he forgot to collect any money,” Anne Yacto adds.

Yacto then gave some thoughts about her character, Nobara Kugisaki. “Nobara would be a food blogger, maybe a dessert blogger.” She then speculated that Nobara would probably leave a bad review for Yuji’s hot dogs. “They were free though,” she mused.

Kaiji Tang has a more unusual answer for his character, Satoru Gojo. “If Gojo didn’t have any powers, it means he wouldn’t be super good at everything automatically. So, what would be be…oh an underwear model!”

“He’s a cam girl,” Yacto enthusiastically adds.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is out now on Crunchyroll.. It probably won’t contain any underwear models or hot dogs, but you should probably watch it anyway.
